Dr. Jessica Berkeridge DVM

As a little girl growing up in Middletown, Delaware, Dr. Berkeridge knew she wanted to be a veterinarian and care for pets in her own hospital. The FFA program at Middletown High School was an excellent experience in learning the multiple aspects of animal care and prepared her for the Animal Science Program at the University of Delaware.

Dr. Kirsten Kruer VMD

Dr. Kruer hails from the West Coast.  From about the age of 5, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, and has always shared her home with large fur families.  She attended Veterinary School at the University of Pennsylvania, and has since made her home on the East Coast.  Over the years she has worked in several practices across NJ and DE, and has enjoyed practicing in both ER as well as General Practice.
When not at work, Dr. Kruer can be found at home with her teenaged children and large menagerie of 4 legged (as well as winged) family members.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids, crafting, Marvel movies, and playing the saxophone in a community band.
Dr. Kruer's professional interests include emergency medicine and surgery.  After many years in veterinary medicine, she most enjoys facilitating and celebrating the bond between animals and their pet parents.

Dr. Patricia Elwood DVM

Dr. Elwood has had a passion for animals and veterinary medicine her whole life and has always surrounded herself with them! Dr. Elwood grew up in Northern New Jersey where she volunteered with many local rescues. She obtained her Bachelors in Animal Science at The University of Tennessee and graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Elwood has a menagerie of animals at home with her here in Bear, De. including dogs, cats, bunnies, and fish. During her free time, she loves to take her dogs hiking and go horseback riding. Dr. Elwood has a special interest in Shelter Medicine and Animal Behavior so she is thrilled to have joined such a wonderful and compassionate team with a rescue organization attached! She cannot wait to grow more in her career and form lasting relationships with patients and clients here at Summit Bridge Veterinary Hospital.
